Access
Hida Takayama is located in the northern part of Gifu Prefecture. It can be accessed by train, car or bus. Around Takayama there are many sightseeing spots within an hour or two by car. On March 14, 2015 high speed rail service (Hokuriku Shinkansen) will begin between Tokyo and Kanazawa. It will be much easier to get to Takayama from Tokyo and the surrounding area.
